The Nissan LEAF, the award-winning all-electric car is set to hit UK shores as early as 2013. The 5-seater 5-door hatchback is the world’s first 100% electric vehicle, producing zero tailpipe emissions. You can see it at The Bridgestone Eco-rally at the start in Oxford, at the pit stop and at the finish line – keep your eyes peeled for car number 1!
With a range of over 100 miles from an 8 hour charge, the Nissan LEAF is quieter on the road and much cheaper to run than a conventional petrol or diesel engine. The even better news? When it hits the UK market, the LEAF will be affordable and competitively priced. Great to hear that the auto industry is helping motorists become more eco-friendly!
